IGF-1EC (Often Referred to as MGF) is a form of IGF produced in vivo. When muscle tissue is placed under stress the IGF1 gene is spliced to form IGF-1EC. IGF-1EC does several things. It triggers satellite cells which are then used to promote muscle repair at the site of stress. This creates and immediate effect on nitrogen and works quickly to promote / maintain positive nitrogen balance in the damaged tissue. This nitrogen balance is essential for the synthesis of proteins to muscle tissue. IGF-1EC is crucial for muscle tissue repair. It is likely that the introduction of exogenous IGF-1EC to just damaged muscle tissue will compound the effects of the IGF-1EC the body already produces. Trigger more satellite cell activation, nitrogen retention, and then protein synthesis. This is evidenced by researcher’s claims of localized growth in areas of muscle duress where they administered IGF-1EC to their research subjects. While IGF-1EC is a form of IGF it also stands to reason that combining its use with IGF-1LR3 would provide a synergy between the 2 compounds and increase the potential effects of both.  Refs: * Prostate. 2010 Aug;70(11):1233-42.Preferential expression of IGF-1Ec (MGF) transcript in cancerous tissues of human prostate: evidence for a novel and autonomous growth factor activity of MGF E peptide in human prostate cancer cells.Armakolas A, Philippou A, Panteleakou Z, Nezos A, Sourla A, Petraki C, Koutsilieris M.
